Multi-Channel A/D Acquisition System Scalable up to 32 Channels

Pulse Instruments is pleased to announce our new PI-3105 Multi-Channel Data Acquisition System:

  • The PI-3105 is a scalable, high-performance A/D and data acquisition system for CCDs, IR FPAs, and CMOS image sensors.
  • Low-noise architecture for satellite, astronomy, military, medical, and industrial imaging devices.
  • Modular, scalable system is easily re-configured by the user for different applications
  • Up to 32 channels of acquisition, with total data capture up to 1.6 GBps into 2 GB of on-board DRAM.
  • Together with Pulse Instruments photon sources and our industry-standard stimulus equipment, the PI-3105 completes our 3rd-generation of fully-integrated imaging test stations

14-bit, 10 MHz modules are available now, with total noise levels of less than 6 nV/√Hz from the pre-amplifier input to digitized output. 10-, 12-, and 16-bit modules are in development and will be available soon.

Pulse Instruments is shipping systems today, with delivery in 6-8 weeks ARO. Please email sales@pulseinstruments.com or visit:

New High-Speed Clock Driver Card for CCD and FPA Testing

October 1, 2002

Pulse Instruments announces a new clock driver card for our industry-standard 4000 Series:

  • Model 42460--two channels of programmable clock drivers, providing up to 17 V amplitudes between ±17 V at up to 20 MHz.
  • As with all Pulse Instruments clock drivers, the 42460 has programmable rails and edge speeds, with voltage and amplitude limits to protect your DUT.

These new cards were developed to drive the newest CCDs and FPAs requiring high-amplitude, high-speed clocking.

The 42460 is supported by the new PI-31001 PI-Bus Interface card for CompactPCI. Please contact support@pulseinstruments.com for information about upgrading an existing system to support this new card.

Pulse Instruments is taking orders today, with delivery in 6-8 weeks. Please email sales@pulseinstruments.com or visit:

New High-Voltage DC Bias Cards for CCD Testing

August 1, 2002

Pulse Instruments has developed two new Low-Noise DC Bias cards for our industry-standard 4000 Series:

  • Model 40757--two channels of programmable low-noise DC bias from -20 to +36 V, providing 25 mA current per channel.
  • Model 40758--two channels of programmable low-noise DC bias from -20 to +36 V, providing 100 mA current per channel.

These new cards were developed in direct response to customer requirements for high-voltage biasing of back-illuminated CCDs.

Please contact support@pulseinstruments.com for information about upgrading an existing system to support these new cards.

Pulse Instruments announces CompactPCI Analog Stimulus Cards

February 16, 2001

Pulse Instruments is pleased to announce our new CompactPCI ?  Analog Stimulus cards:

  • The PI-41400 is a dual channel clock driver with a clock rate of up to 230MHz into a 50-ohm load and up to 90 MHz at an amplitude of 8 volts into a 1-megohm load
  • The PI-41700 is a dual channel card with +/- 8 VDC Bias outputs that can provide an
output current of 100 mA per channel. The PI-41700 has programmable current limits, plus voltage and current sense for remote measurement of the voltage and current levels
  • The PI-41701 This enhanced version of the PI-41700 has special filter circuitry to reduce the output noise for those applications that require a low noise bias output. Additionally there is a ?D? type connector that allows the introduction of laboratory type supplies to reduce the noise further

As a test or design engineer you must have state-of-the-art tools to test, characterize and verify your complex semiconductor devices and circuit boards. These new Bias and Driver cards, together with the PI-2005 Pattern Generator, are the foundation of a modular, high- performance, low-cost test instrument series from Pulse Instruments.
