Introduction:
The PI-41110 is a 4:1 digital multiplexer card in a CompactPCI® form
factor.
It is primarily designed as a part of the PI-3105 Data Acquisition System,
but can also be used in any application requiring the multiplexing of digital
data streams.
The card can be configured in software to multiplex 4:1, 3:1 or 2:1, or as a
1:1 scanner/switch.
The PI-41110 reads each of the selected input channels in turn, and outputs
the interleaved data at 100 MHz. The output rate is controlled by an internal
crystal clock.
Clocking of the data is typically provided by a separate pixel clock to
demarcate valid data words. Additional timing signals, such as frame sync and
line sync, can be used to demarcate video lines and video frames of data.
The LVDS inputs of the PI-41110 are typically fed into the inputs of a
digital acquisition card, such as the PI-41000.
The PI-41110 is supported by Pulse Instruments’ PI-DATS
and PI-Controller software.
